Aveeno started in 1945 with Soothing Bath Treatment that uses pure colloidal oatmeal. This bath additive is effective in locking moisture in the skin for individuals with dry and irritated skin. Aveeno was first introduced by the Musher Brothers combined with Mayo Clinic, their first customer.
Aveeno’s unique skin care products caught the attention of pediatricians and dermatologists. Its Soothing bath treatment along with its line of body moisturizer and anti-itching items are used to relieve skin irritations. In 1999, Johnson and Johnson obtained its ownership over the brand.
In 2000, its product line branched out to catering baby skin needs and expanded to adding soy skin benefits in 2002. Now, their expansion on the facial, lip and body care added to their line of products. For 60 years, Aveeno has delivered quality skin care and gathered awards for excellent standards.
Allure’s Best of Beauty Award was given to Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Cleansing Pads for its ability to cleanse and moisturize with natural soy extracts. This also gathered the “Best Facial Skin Care Product Under $10” from Cosmetic Executive Women Beauty Awards. Child Magazine also awarded Aveeno’s Daily Moisturizing lotion as the “Best Body Moisturizer”. The first Natural Beauty Awards awarded Aveeno’s Daily Firming Moisturizing Lotion as the “Best Body Firmer”. With signature colloidal oatmeal content, it has the ability to soften and smooth rough skin textures. Shape Magazine also granted this product as “Best Body Firming Lotion”.
