Murad Inc. started in 1989 by Dr. Howard Murad, a UCLA Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine. Most of its products ensure safety that will only render healthy and radiant-looking skin. For years, Dr. Murad and his team developed several health and beauty items outsourcing to four different channels: international, national, direct and international. It was during 1990 that Dr. Murad decided to introduce a scientific curriculum for estheticians. In 1992, Dr. Murad created a skin care line that uses home skin care ingredients. Its recipe contains antioxidants, anti-inflammatory agents and hydrators. 1995 marked Murad’s revolutionary take to skin care by adding dietary supplements to enhance cell integrity. In 1997, Murad Inc. developed a skin care line to fight off aging due to the harsh environmental factors. Murad skin care line also gathered awards from various beauty sectors. Self Magazine awarded Murad’s Intensive Wrinkle Reducer for Eyes as “Best Anti-aging eye treatment”. InStyle Best Beauty Buys in 2009 hailed Murad Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Gel as the “Best Spot Lightener”. Its Redness Therapy Correcting Moisturizer SPF 15 bagged the UK Beauty Awards 2009 as “Soothing Face Creams”. Murad’s Energizing Pomegranate Lip Protector SPF 15 was awarded one of the “Top 10 Beauty Pick” in Elle Bride Editor’s Choice in 2009. Star Superstar Beauty Awards 2009 acknowledged Murad Age Reform Intensive Resurfacing Peel as “Best Face Peel” in that same year.
